Cover for fashion design (5th Edition) (Paperback) has new "Design"

I bought this book as a supplement my drape class and others drape book Helen Joseph Armstrong of draping for apparel design. In this book, FYI are Jaffe draping for fashion design and Helen Joseph-Armstrong's book the two most commonly assigned to drape books fashion design studies.

ADVANTAGES:
-Very compact and lucid book. This is useful if you exclude a reference, the superfluous "beginner" material and need a book to carry with you. In any case much easier than the others carry standards reference of Joseph Armstrong's book. I love it, as it provides only the essential information.
-Covers a variety of drape topics, including the standard and the variations on skirts, shirts, dresses, trousers, sleeves, collar, different kinds of bodices, etc. This book will drape over the opening.

DISADVANTAGES:
-Requires at least a basic background in drape / pattern-making and the willingness to do a lot of trial and error. Because it is so concise, you will find all need to learn a lot to experiment the unwritten nuances of cover.
-Minimum amount of numbers sometimes make it very difficult to interpret, so that it is more necessary to supplement this book with a class or another book.

TOTAL:
A very important resource to substantially rely on due to its concise and it is to keep size. I highly recommend it for someone who has a strong background in drape and needs only a reference, or for someone who held an introductory class at the same time. Drape for someone who is only to learn for the first time and any class, I would recommend the larger/bulkier and more detailed Joseph Armstrong book (price is the same as this Jaffe book).
